Jack J

Australian-born, Vancouver-based producer and songwriter Jack J returns home this November and December for a rare run of live shows across the East Coast and Victoria.

A key figure in the underground scene, Jack co-founded the beloved Mood Hut label and is one half of cult duo Pender Street Steppers. His solo work — including 2022’s Opening the Door and 2024’s Blue Desert — has earned widespread acclaim for its warm, spacious sound, blending ambient textures, jazz-inflected songwriting, and deep electronic grooves.

Performed with a full band, Jack J’s live show takes his introspective recordings and transforms them into a looser, more physical experience — atmospheric yet immediate, meditative yet danceable. After extensive touring in the US and Europe (including dates with Jessica Pratt), he’s finally bringing this acclaimed show to Australian audiences.
